Dr. James L. Wilder is a Gynecological Oncology Surgeon who treats women with gynecologic cancers, as well as women with complex benign gynecological conditions. His area of expertise include minimally invasive da Vinci Robotic Surgery, cancer of the female organs, fibroids, pelvic prolapse, endometriosis, and prophylactic surgery for women at high risk for the development of hereditary ovarian and endometrial cancers. He also has extensive experience in chemotherapeutic treatment and management of high grade uterine cancers.

Long before entering medical school, Dr. Wilder had a family history in health care. Born in Kingsville, Texas, he is the third-generation physician in his family. Board certified in obstetrics and gynecology, as well as gynecologic oncology, Dr. Wilder offers highly personalized care for patients based on the latest medical and surgical innovations. He has performed over 2,195 robotic cases, ranking in the top 2% in Texas and the top 5% nationally.

Dr Wilder and his staff are all very efficient and kind! Years ago we had to wait for a very long time but the last couple of years I have very fast in and out time! I like him and his staff a lot!

The front desk receptionist lwas very kind and personable. I was very uncomfortable being asked covid questions and everyone having to wear a mask.

Dr. Wilder has been my doctor for 11 years. He actually saved my life and I will forever be grateful. Dr. Wilder takes time to listen to his patients and eases their fear.

However, I do not like having a practicing doctor in the room with me during my exam. I felt like I was at MD Anderson which always has a student with every doctor.

I waited 1 hour and 45 minutes which was better then usual. I understand emergency situations so waiting doesn't bother me especially when you know your seeing Dr. Wilder who is a top of the line doctor.
